First Responders Appreciation
Our First Responders Appreciation Card Ministry launched in October 2020 by 6 members of the UMW unit. The Ministry was formed to show support, uplift spirits, express gratitude and prayers for the hundreds of employees in our community who are: keeping us safe, taking care of the sick and providing needed services to the public, at the same time endangering their own personal safety at the height of the COVID 19 Pandemic.
The Ministry has mailed hundreds of specially designed “Thank You” cards to several Hospitals, Fire/Police/EMS departments, Nursing Homes, Metro Transit Services, Postal Services and School Administrators/Teachers throughout St. Louis City and County all who provided all who provided needed service in difficult times.
Special thanks to all of you who helped make this Ministry possible, especially the 4th grade students at Kipp Academy who assisted Cheryl Tate (our card designer) with the coloring of the Nursing Home cards. As we continue to grow this ministry we ask for your prayers and financial support to offset the rising cost of supplies. If you are wanting to help in any way, please complete the contact form.
